YOUTH SOLIDARITY GROWTH

Dzień dobry! My name is Szymon, I’m 19 years old, and I’m a volunteer from Poland 🇵🇱

I haven’t had the chance to start university yet, but I already know what I want to pursue: Fashion Design. It’s a big dream of mine, and I hope to study in Germany one day—especially because I spent most of my life living there.

For the next months, I’ll be volunteering with EUROSUD in Triggiano and nearby towns. I’ll be supporting children as they learn English, and I’ll also help with community activities like the local food bank and the social restaurant—small actions that can make a real difference in everyday life.

I’m genuinely excited to be part of this project because I’ve always wanted to discover a new country, experience a different culture from the inside, and understand what daily life feels like somewhere else—not just as a tourist, but as a member of the community.

I also love meeting new people and building connections, so this feels like the perfect opportunity: a meaningful project, a new environment, and a chance to grow personally while giving something back.

For years I’ve been dreaming about traveling and becoming more independent, so when I found out I was accepted, I was honestly over the moon. Exploring a new part of the world and learning how to live on my own is something you can’t fully learn from books—you have to experience it yourself.

So yes… I’m really pumped for my EUROSUD volunteering adventure to begin!
